Landing on the beach
concrete walls they have to breach
thousands die before they get to land
they are now in Jesus' hands

the rest that land are soon to die
war is the reason why
some dropped behind the lines
few get there the rest they die

 behind the boat the few they pray
that they are safe
locked and loaded ready to fight
this is their final plight

behind the lines they make it through
to make the machine bunkers go boom
Normandy is won we did it guys
so sad many more to die
