My Biggest Mistake

When all we hear are the empty promises and lies,
that leave behind broken hearts and shattered lives.
When trust is gone and hope is lost,
what are we fighting for and who really pays the cost.
When you tell us you're sorry and you do it again,
Why do we believe you, why do we keep giving in.
When we finally realize we made a mistake,
it's too late, we've sealed our fate

The Shame

These racing thoughts only lead to one thing,

the sting of the skin and the chill of the blade.

Cannot control it, my mind's gone insane,

 

no sleeves to cover, nothing to feel shame.

 

Met this one boy, he made me feel right,

no more blood, just warm naked nights.

With love in my heart, lust out of sight,

he broke my heart, I took my blade and saw white.

 

I've had this problem for years upon years,

never wore sleeves until this year, 

he broke me down, made me see fear,

but you can't erase the scars that aren't here
