Small and insignificant, yet strong and determined. Drifting in the wind, the leaf flies away. Soaring above the trees, seeing more than one should see. Attempting to balance, failing and falling. Stuttering and stalling, the leaf takes a dive. Losing momentum, sinking from the sky. Colours rush by, orange, red, and blue. Blue seems to stand out, darkening until it's black. Darkness encompasses, surrounding and blocking any view. Falling faster now, no longer able to see one's fate. Pain erupts as contact is made, cold hard concrete cushions the fall.
