EvilActivity Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 So if you're shy and can't hold your own on anything at all and you are painfully ackward and insecure around people, fixing this issue is seriously a no brainer really. The thing to do is just surround yourself with other shy people. OTHER SHY PEOPLE. Lower your standards. Go to the very very bottom. To people who surpass you in the field of loserness and low self esteem. Once you are there you will look and feel better by comparison, You can dominate them. Be the cool one there. If that even makes any sense to you. Honestly how long has it been that you have just been trying to be yourself with no progress what so ever? Always trying to find comfort and company with some one you consider to be cooler than you but that only makes you feel so much worst about yourself? That's not gonna boost you. You wanna be that "cool" person? Then put yourself in that exact position. You're gonna be top dog to some whiney, shy, crybabies, that are gonna try kissing your ass and praising you then you're gonna think "That use to be me....? Well no more!" See how they become dependant on you instead. ( It gets annoying really fast. So don't assume you want to bask in that kinda power. Some people do, I personally don't have the time or the inclination for it. ) And that there boys and girls, that's the process... or you can just continue the whole.... do what the moral wontons say and "keep waiting and being yourself." But you don't even like yourself in the first place. What are you doing? You will like yourself a whole lot more if you're amoung lesser people. Yes I said it. Lesser people. Don't pertend like you don't have standards too..... Call me a bully if you will, call me judgemental, I'm just trying to do you a damn favor and tell it like it is instead of telling you to go in loops over and over again. You don't have to do what I say. If you want to have initiative or if you want to sit at the bottom of the food chain cause your life sucks and be bitter at the lovely solcial butterflies spreading thier wings and floating above you, it's your choice. You're no top dog, not an alpha, I see you all straving for something so I'm just tossing you a damn bone here bottom bitch. You don't want it? That's okay too. I'm not gonna stop you from runing off with your tail between your legs, yelping of your hurt feelings to get some more head pats because you don't like the growly bitches. It's expected and it wouldn't phase me. Note: This is not for anyone in specific but you know who you are if you can relate with this. This is also not under the category of member wars because I'm not fustrated. I just feel sorry for people. 3
Collette Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I agree with you on this, though I don't agree with putting yourself above others. That's fucked up.. Bad. Why not just make friends with the other shy people? I mean, don't be their fucking ruler but be there for them. From the experiences I've had, they're the most trustworthy people you'll ever meet.
EvilActivity Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 I agree with you on this, though I don't agree with putting yourself above others. That's fucked up.. Bad. Why not just make friends with the other shy people? I mean, don't be their fucking ruler but be there for them. From the experiences I've had, they're the most trustworthy people you'll ever meet. Sure It could be fucked up as you put it. But thats everywhere. They just don't make it obvious. Shy people, however, desire one thing: glory. Puny, wimpy fellows on their own, they attach themselves to others to bask in the reflected greatness, hoping that something will rub off on them. Small fish like that feel important by connecting themselves to important, persons. Thus they praises of them respectively, even while suffering assaults, insults, and boundless humiliation. See how both ways can be fucked up? You see, much attention has been paid to shy people. Letting them ride the passenger seat all the time? Thats not nice either. Nobody will tell them they could be a driver too, nobody tells them they could stop being followers and be leaders themselves. Nobody. Now are they gonna find thier potential listening to everybody else? I know I used the word "dominate" I meant the area in which one exerts alot of time and influence over. Shy people don't want to be shy. I feel that Being with other shy people is the right exercise for them.
Cia ???? Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 People putting themselves above others is one of he core foundations of our society, so unless you're planning a revolution then it's by no means fucked up or bad - in fact it is natural, normal and arguably 'good'. Shy people are often the least trustworthy people as many slip into compulsive lying to hide whatever they are shy about, becoming drama queens to seek attention and praise that they can't get the normal way and manipulating people into things they are too shy to do normally. There's a reason people say 'it's always the quiet ones'.
KoalaOverlord Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Ho ho ho hee hee hee, break that lute acros my knee, and if the bard should choose to fight...then ill just set his clothes alight (๑≖ิิ益≖ิ๑)
Crankor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 (edited) Lol what a way to start my morning. Well i agree that the initial post can make sense, the problem with shy people is they aren't able to put themselves above others. The other would be that they just don't speak there mind to people. They hold everything back thinking everyone will be critical of them... So that said yah, it makes perfect sense to hang around others like yourself but it can be difficult to find them and i find that shy people fight themselves over the worth of trying after a few failed attempts. It's just a matter of feeling comfortable around a person without feeling or caring that they wil be criticized. Even though people judge others, that part of life. It is true too people who put themselves ahead of others are generally the more controversal type but can also be less disireable to talk to. Heh i always thought when people said 'it's always the quiet ones" was because they have sudden spurts of interaction that surprises people... and can be mischevious. Well alot goes on in your head when you feel your by yourself for so long. For some i notice a problem is that they want more meaningful friendships and don't bother developing ones that are not and just get flustered with small talk in person.
