Her dancing ceases when the violins resume
The shine in her eyes turns to a darkened ash
This fancy night for her will end soon
Betrayal and heartbreak, it all is pretty rash
As she runs to the woods a piano begins
Sprinting she flees from the ball
as she runs further out the hill steepens
a shriek pierces the night from the sight she had saw
her escort amidst the braches of a deceased oak
the maggots have made his face raw
her father who followed wrapped her in his cloak
 

Burial for this man scheduled 3 days from death
hastily the mortician rushed at his work
the day of the funeral, few had mourned the man who had no last breath
her father's eye gleamed and her mother emitted a smirk
The woman just cried, her lover just died, and the called it a mere suicide
so the towns people scolded and the crier reported
about the "wretched man who had died"
the woman was thinking as she was drinking "this is distorted"
Quickly she ran to her mother who laughed, mocking her dead son in law
hastily she cried, and running inside saw her father telling his friends
hearing those two, with no one to go to, her heart was rubbed raw
her parents who killed, their souls, be that the will, will one day meet their end

Now 6 days have passed since the burial last
Her lover's spirit had rose from the hole they had dug
He traveled to where his widow had mourned, and she let out a faint gasp
the two of them cried, and the lights burned bright as those two danced on the rug
violins played, the song she was stood up to
the piano joined in, they laughed and danced
here in the two were reunited as they were to do
and as they danced they shared romance
as down stares her parents mourned the loss of their daughter
while the family itself was scorned
she drowned in the waters of the lake she had met him supposed
now her parents are torn, as her lover is hers forevermore
