my not-so-victoriouse short-term return

from the corner of my eye

i would let pass a silent tear

and over my cold lips would escape

words never meant to be sayd.

with the immortal lust 

of one who wishes for love

but stands alone beneath the marble sky.

and grieves to see the sun.

the silence is so loud

overwhelmes me with emptyness.

the darkness so deep

it swallows me in nothingness.

and yet i can not bare to part

with the heart in need of a flame,

beneath the light of this moon

i stand cold and clench my chest.

none shall have the heart of mine.

i may toy and play with some

but then cast aside as it dawns on me.

i can never love, i can never love...

with a heart of diamonds so easily broken

i hide my self in a marble coffin.

i can not love, for if love leaves me

my veins will flow with malice such as never seen before

hatred shall burn in my lungs,

evil shall take my eye.

so i toy and i play, i will push and i will pull

to feel the flesh of another

but cast aside before love can wither.

such is my curse.

to love,

but not to the end.

to have a heart in a box,

but it can not be locked.

to have a whispers so soft

but have none to listen.

such is my curse.

with every broken heart i leave behind

i choke on them all.

but a single tear will flow,

from the corner of my eye,

such is my love,

full of regret and pain. 

such is my curse.

to love.... but not to the end

nothing left but broken promises

shattered hearts and lonelyness

as we walk the line between

painted smiles and a river of tears

it's harder for some

cos we balance with a gun

which fate has given us so freely

pull the trigger it's easy

and still we balance on a rope

nothing left but a lie and a pich of hope

lose one lose both

lose both you choke

every step of the way

i feel the growing dismay

i walk and they throw rocks in secret

they only came to see a dieing artist
