Nothing really mattered anymore

He was gone, but so was she

She had lost all grip on reality

She was a bitter person who thouhgt she knew it all

 

Weeks became months and months became years

And in those years came the fear

The shadows twisted and turned

Causing her to lose all hope

 

Then came the pain

The pain that was to take it all away

That fear grew and grew

Causing the shadows to toss and turn

 

The blood and the tears ate at the fears

Every care became a doubt

And caused the shadows take hold of that fear

Nothing was the same after that

 

School was a pain and sprouted more fears

Causing the tears to fall at any moment

The thin metal blade be came her lover

It took away all the pain and the fears if only for a moment

 

Everything was an effort

All the shiny toys couldn't shake it

No matter what she just couldn't make it

Then along he came and broke it all

 

He made everything seem to brighten

Made everything worth it and made her want it

He teased and played making her crave it

Then broke her heart and she bled and cried

 

She cried for the pain

She cried out of hate and love

She cried for everything she mourned

She also bled for it

 

She lost all sight and the shadows stired

Shifting in the night light making everything burn

Months passed and it seemed to get better

But as usual nothing really seems to get better

It got worse and turned into a letter

 

She had joined counseling

But it just wasn't helping

It just seemed to add to the pain

Then it all shattered and changed

 

She went to the place a few times to learn

And after three years of blood and pain it got better

And better and everything changed

She became positive and never ashamed

 

She finally shook off all those years of pain and fear

Rekindling her light making all of those fears shatter and burn

She found herself a man and is now feeling alright

But can't seem to shake the man from her fears

 

From all her regrets the one most remembered

Is the one man she thought was her one and only

That man who took and showed off her innocence

Twisting and turning all of his lies

 

Finally it has come to an end

No longer will he torment her

He is really a loser

But from her whole past the one thing she regrets

Is that one man who hurt her for shits and giggles

He never cared he just wanted to control her

 

Now for certain she will never talk or think about him anymore

That is her past but now is her future

A future full of love and joy

Nothing can hurt her

 

Because everyone knows a girl who can survive an awful man

And live to tell the tale has emotions and nerves of steel

And can control her fears

No longer needs the blood and tears

Only the man

The one of her dreams not of her fears
