Guest Aledrain Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 he Night Is Darkening Round Me Poem by Emily Bronte The Night Is Darkening Round Me Emily Bronte The night is darkening round me, The wild winds coldly blow ; But a tyrant spell has bound me, And I cannot, cannot go. The giant trees are bending Their bare boughs weighed with snow ; The storm is fast descending, And yet I cannot go. Clouds beyond clouds above me, Wastes beyond wastes below ; But nothing drear can move me : I will not, cannot go. The Night Is Darkening Round Me Emily Bronte Little Lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee? Gave thee life, and bid thee feed, By the stream and o'er the mead; Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing, woolly, bright; Gave thee such a tender voice, Making all the vales rejoice? Little Lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee? William black (part of "The Lamb") I like the first part best because I interpret however I want to, instead of making it about God.
