Old Emo/Screamo/Post-Hardcore?

Whenever I try to find some different emo/screamo/post-hardcore bands to listen to (mostly stuff from the 80s), I usually end up finding band like Dashboard Confessional. I have nothing against bands like that (I actually like a lot of them), but it'd be nice to find some old stuff too. Any suggestions? Thanks so much

Well, I don't really listen to old stuff, but I think Guns and Roses started the whole screamo thing since when their guitarist, Slash, tried to sing he sounded horrible so the only thing he could do was scream. So I guess that era of Guns and Roses. IDK

Ah. One person I know that listens to the REAL screamo. That makes me smile.
