Guest InkSickVegan Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I mindlessly walk into the trap So thoughtless, so unable to defend myself A war starts, and I am unarmed I?m torn and ripped apart My only defense is weak, but their attempts are appreciated Like a coward I run I always run But my bleeding ears Are not closed off From the words being causally thrown Around in a pointless tirade A tirade that goes back and forth The pendulum that never stops It never stops Until the pieces are so small And shattered That you can?t put them back together I?m forced to return to the battle But I?m not mentally stable to fight Anymore There is no winning The tyrant always wins No matter what Shut down I begin to build up my wall My shield In a futile hope that I will deflect these words being fired at me But it is only a thin wall of pretend that I cling onto And these words impale me Holding onto memories that tell me I?m normal And I?m not the problem Are washed away I?m tainted and trashed Whoever was on my side is now gone The ride home is a rewind of the events that have transpired The war rages on, even when we have left the battle field Left behind is my only believer It never stops I stand alone I stand defeated
xXForeverDarknessXx Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 That's really good. I pick my favorite poems by how well i can relate to them, and I've got to say, this is now one of my favorites.
