it's all like looking into a broken mirror

a picture of me, but scattered and shattered

still the glass couldn't be clearer

it's still a frame, just a little battered

when you try to glue the pieces back

it cuts you deep, you never bleed, just plead

plead for help, for an end to this wrack

but no one hears your silent stampede

soon your left drowning in your own tears

but no one cares to dismiss your fears.

it's my nightmare, never ending

a life not worth even my pocket lint

no joy, no smiles, just pain so unmending

happiness veers at the slightest glint

i tried to sign my life away

but even satan didn't want such a wretch

i'm left as a shell no thoughts to array

to build back my wall that's a tale to fetch

i'm left by myself, cemeting this glass

my mirror is shattered, such an impasse.

so i'll keep bearing my torture

and keep my curse sealed

i'll live through this scorcher

and my scars i will yield

my name is forgotten, but my title remains

the girl mending the mirror

i'm forever bound in chains

but with each day my freedom looms nearer

with each day we each grow older

and with each day my will grows colder.
