Once,I felt invincible

Like the world couldn't stop me

From my ambition

to do the right thing.

Countless hours I'd spend,

trying to heal the hurt others felt.

Countless times,I have been

used,because I naively thought

I had friends.

I was mistaken.

You use me,

Abuse my good nature,

And tossed me aside when

you were through.

This is the kryptonite that brought down

superman at last,

The catnip that destroyed catwoman.

I cannot do good without being punished...

No good deed goes unpunished...

I never knew that truth until now.

I am no superhero.

I am weak,just like the rest of you.

I felt invincible once,but now,

I am shattered,fragile...

And I realise how cruel people can be

to someone who only strives to do good,

and to see others happy...

I didn't know that would cost me my happiness in the end.

I wish I could help the world...

Be a superhero...

I didn't know I'd need to be rescued....
