--poem.. havent written in awhile--

i swear by now i should just give up

give in, stop running, stop filling this cup

i swear by now i should have just learned

but because of my stupidity this is what i've earned

i should know by now it will all never be enough

everything i try turns out so unreal, so rough

i try to fix and mend

then we just break and bend

then i start to cry

and i believe every lie

every whim and every need

and i'm still here for you

even though its not honesty you heed

i can't help but by your to side be true

i should have known long ago

that you feed on another's woe

but now i'm reeled in and yours to keep

and others ask why i do not weep

the truth is that i love you

and no matter what i always do

i do everything to make you smile

i do everything to keep you awhile

now my question to those who question me

would all of you give up love so easily

or would you fight

for every battle in sight

to keep that loved one

until the war was done

when someone gets so close to your heart

you can't help but fall apart

the trick is to keep your pieces tied in a knot

so you can stay strong until you aquire what you sought

love isn't something you can just walk away from

love isn't something you can hide under liquor and rum

love doesn't come easy to most

but those who are willful become it's host

i had to learn this the hard way

but for you i keep this pain at bay

prepare your cannons, load your rifles

if it comes for you, you will need such trifles

like i said its not a war won so unstrained

but it's worth the fight, and for all you have trained

awh thank you guys... idk my writing has gotten a little rough around the edges lately, im never sure if it's ever good or not.. i usually dont feel like its very great, but im always happy to hear when people like it
