The Wannabe Sailor's Poem For His Love

If I were a sailor

I'd sail the seven seas

And gaze upon my treasure maps

To bring you back to me

My heart it glows like starlight

Amongst the skies so blue

It shines and twinkles oh so high

Only just for you

 

The minutes without you drone

On and on for days

An empty space beside me

I wish you would just stay

 

And never leave my side

Not once, not twice, not ever

Then we could sail the seven seas

Forever and together

It might seem silly now

But in time you'll surely see

How much I really care for you

And what you mean to me
