Haze and The Light

All you see is the mask

As I try and hide the haze that surounds me

The haze is dark and tinted red

With blood spilt out of self loathing

I hide the haze to to protect the ones I love

and surprise the ones i hate

Those who seek to help me wonder why i hide

wonder why i push them away

Those who seek to hurt me care only about self gain

and they flee when the haze turns Blood red and comes from behind the mask

to punish them for there cruilty

Then I see you and the haze fades and is replaced by light

bright as the sun made from my love for you

yet i hide it from you because your happy without me

and if I i showed even a flicker if the light you would be hurt and run from me

and I would rather turn the light on Myself and burn to ash then hurt you

but the ones who hurt you will feel the flame of the light and terror of the haze as there devoured
