Colored Hairspray vs Temporary Highlights

So I'm going to this concert and I want to put blue in my hair, just for the night. I don't know whether i should get some colored hairspray or just buy some temp highlights out of like the box. Seems to me that the hairspray would work better for just one night, but idk.

 

So my question is should I just get colored hairspray or temp highlights? Or neither if you have a better idea.

Also, how does the colored hairspray work? Lol. Also how well does it work/how long does it stay in?
