Do u think there shud b designated areas for graffiti artists to do their magic? Or do u think it shud become illegal n stoppd? Im doin research on graffiti, but spose to b bout in my community (so d playford region in adelaide)... But id lyk to c wat all ur opinions r on graffiti... Ghostface Killah Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Graffiti is massive... it livens up the city, and urban areas with a vibrant texture of semi-shrouded unconscious mystery, and uncloaked fury against the system. I've got major respect for all the REAL graff artists... not peeps who tag for the hell of it. Loads don't like it though. I think it should be legal.

If they want to break the law and spray paint on someone's private property and get sued... that's them. As for me, I get paid for "legal" graffiti, I'm only an intern though. Although yes, it is amazing to look at and wonderous, it should not be legal. Legalizing it would just make it okay to have gangs put their symbols. It does look amazing, but it shouldn't be legalized

It is typically done on public or private owned land in which the individual that does this, does not own the said land in question. It costs money to get rid of this so-called "art"; there is nothing artistic about it, and anyone with a brain can re-produce in the same style and manner as those whom do this. If one wishes to do graffiti, they should do it to their own land, their own house; something they ctually fully own in cash which is fully paid off. Better yet, art belongs on a canvas, so buy a canvas and do it on that. How often do you see cars and mass-transortation "painted" in graffiti. Does it look good? No, no it doesn't; it looks like trash and makes people feel less secure about their own areas knowing people are nearby doing this garbage. Seriously, what people consider "art" these days is incredibly stupid.

Just so that they dont do it in public buildings. Plus graffiti looks amazing when its actual art, not stupid tagging >.< I see greaffiti every day on my way home. Pretty wicked stuff.
