Try getting bangs in the front.

you could get a side fringe to begin with and slowly get it bigger every time... thats how i got mine done, now i can style it the way i want (when my mums not around >.< )

My mom let's me style it pretty much however I want to.

Side bangs, front bangs, colored, normal, ponytail, she doesn't care.

So I would say talk to your parents about it, let them know that you would like to express yourself with that kinda hair style.

Or maybe instead of doing really far scene bangs, do normal side part, and add bows or tease your hair or whatnot. LOL.

it will still "look" scene.
