I did what I wanted if they didnt like it they could go suck one for all i cared. I got a tatoo when I was 17 lmao my mom flipped. I got my septom pierce at age 13.

Silky-Potato Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 persings r rad lol I think in some ways it's a shame that parent's are so judgemental about piercings, i don't like the way people often tend to look down on people with body piercings and modifications, like they're scumbags or that they arent going to get anywhere in life etc. It's also good though, because they could be stopping you from doing something you'd possibly end up regretting when you're older. I don't think anyone should get facial piercings until at least 16. By then hopefully you'll have been able to think about it properly. Piercings are an investment >:l Also, it's good to wait because it's definitely worth getting it done by a proffessional and not some kid who can't pierce for jellybabies, or even *shudder* doing it yourself u.u If your parents seriously say no though, respect their opinion and don't go behind their back and get one anyway. I have quite a few friends who's parents aren't as open minded and lax as mine, and have been/nearly been kicked out of house and home for getting unwanted piercings. sad but true, don't push your parents.
