ACTUALLY

I know one that works.

The girl is in America, and the boy is in England. And this relationship has lasted long.

It's adorable. He plans on coming to America once he has the money

If you've seen anything of their relationship, you would melt!

I think you gotta be devoted. I Can't be devoted. If i cannot physically see, shake hands, hug, high five, or visually look into your eyes... the most important piece of attraction is forgotten and that magic we all feel as love cannot work. I cannot see me putting myself out on the line like that. This is just me of course and how I can't be devoted like that.

I can say from experience, long distance relationships are trying. My boyfriend and I have been together for over 4 years now, but he moved away about a year into our relationship. He's in Florida now, but we still try to connect when we can. We use Skype, IMs, and everynow and then when we get the money one of us tries to visit the other. I just visited him over Spring break this year and we had our own vacation to Disneyland. Trust me, I had to save a bunch of money for that one, lol. But we've worked things out over the years and we plan on by this coming up May on finally having our own apartment together. Just waiting for him to finish his college education and then he can move. A long distance relationship requires devotion and commitment, along with faith and trust. Yes, we've had our share of arguments, but we've eventually gotten over them and we've moved on. However, we couldn't be happier and can't imagine ourselves without each other. In fact, when he came to visit over Christmas I got the best present ever - my engagement ring. <3 We won't plan the wedding until he's done with college, but we both know for a fact that bigger and better things are on the way. ^_^

I think long distance relationships are fine as long as your honest and you communicate I was with James fora little over a year and he lives in Kansas I'm in Colorado.

Internet relationships are fail, do not work and completely lulzy. Long-distance with someone who moved away is difficult yet plausible and slightly cute.

Ever had a bf/gf you couldn't hug, kiss, go out with or (I'm afraid it's valid) sleep with? There's a term for that, friends. That's what internet relationships are, just friends.

You can lace it up with heartfelt woes and all your cybering, talking dirty or sharing pics because this is essentially on the same level as flirting, not dating. It is oh so easy to let your 'heart out' on the web, why? Because it's a lie. You cannot love someone you've never been with personally, it's that simple.

If you believe otherwise then I'm afraid you're simply young, naive and clueless on what love means.

Also, Amii.

This is not something to his credit, but proof of my point. They've lasted a long time and he still 'plans' to when he has money? He is not there and therefore failing to do anything whatsoever. I would not melt at that, I would laugh.

Well what snow said, but Ben and Marlee (veterans of this site) met on the internet, have been together 2-3 years now, and he's been to see her in america, and I think she's currently in england seeing him. Theyre pretty young but they're sickly in love. internet relationships are more often fail than not.

if the two ppl want to be commited to the other i gues it can work...

You're missing the point. That sounds all good and well but what exactly are you committing too? You have nothing really.

iv had 3 long distance realationships and they didnt last very long even though you love the person that you are with there is always that worry that they culd be with someone else that lives close to them and they think the same so they is really no point in them unless you are really commited
