Forgetting Her:

 

The story of stone

Ends with a man alone

Somewhere, forgetting her;

Pretending not to cry.

A broken angel's song,

Proving he was wrong,

He was not worth fighting for,

But for love he'd gladly die.

 

The drops of tears

Would not atone,

But the boy who cares

Cannot go home.

Find a place to stay

And prepare for night.

You can try to pray,

But you'll still have to fight.

 

Finally, comes the end,

Where love replaces sin.

But now, I'm losing trust

In my own existence.

I lose it all again --

No hope, no love, no friends.

My faded smile turns to rust

And I die without repentance.

 

 

The story's old,

But it still holds it's own.

The plot unfolds,

And now the truth is known.

The angel cries,

Breaking my heart again.

All your hope's a lie

If we cannot win.
