HeavyLoudMusicLover Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Tell Us why did U became Emo & what's the reason U love it, I love to now U I'm not judgein' U see I talk to myself every single time infront & behind people but I'm nice So don't fear & whatever U say will not get out of the EP
HeavyLoudMusicLover Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 In tht U're totally right, wether It's talkin' to your own self or being Emo it's 'cause we're Unique we're special and amazin'...
Guest Emo4Lyf Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 You're on a sub-culture site full of self-proclaimed (though some may be valid) Emos, that in itself defies the entire definition of being unique, lol.
Storm Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 We are unique. We all may very well be emos some self proclaimed, some not, and some just pretending to be but we are all unique in our own way. I don't look like you and you don't look like me we all have something that makes us special lets use twins as an example. They look the same may sound the same but the only difference is that one of the twins lets call him Frank has a beauty mark under his left eye were the other doesn't. That beauty mark makes Frank unique from his twin because his twin doesn't have it. It's not them being emo they are calling unique is the fact that they can say noone else is just like the emo they are.
Guest Emo4Lyf Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 If you dilute the meaning of 'unique' to mean 'slightly different' then I'm afraid you're destroying the word entirely. I'm sure it makes you feel 10x better to be able to call yourself unique due to little differences but to be unique you need to be distinguished from others on a large scale, which very few people are. If you could talk to dragons then you would be unique, but just because you have different hair or a different gender does not make you unique, just different to me. Unique doesn't have the sole meaning you're referring to. You're seeing the word as literally meaning 'no exact copy', which is part of it, but you must also have nothing 'similar' to be unique. You are similar to many people, and your example is a prime choice for outlining how that makes them 'different to each other' but not 'unique'.
HeavyLoudMusicLover Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 See I agree on U cinderboxes we are not unique just because we change our hair color or style or if we did piercin' or not, we are Unique for what's in ourself, in our soul, and twins actually is a good example, there are twins they really look like each other bt there soul, spirit & heart what makes them different... Another thin' flowers, diamonds may just all look like the same bt for flowers it's all unique by there colors & smell & for the diamonds it's unique for it's shinin' degree, when I asked the reason of becomin' Emo I didn't mean the style of hair or music bt the change inside of U 'cuz Ik tht most of U r not Emo in style only bt behind it is a sad story, I know how it is to be with out friends tht's y I'm tryin' to be as best as I could a best friend
Guest Emo4Lyf Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 But what you just said proves you don't agree with me at all
Panty Raid Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 i just wanted to say your header sentence was terribly put, its "Why did you become emo and why do you love it?"
Storm Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I don't agree with you Cinderbox sorry but I think the world is a unique place and your soul does make you unique of course that is if you believed you had a soul. I don't know how to describe it I just think people are completely different even if they look and act the same.
HeavyLoudMusicLover Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Btw Nigllex, than's for the notice bt I love it tht way than's
HeavyLoudMusicLover Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 See so tht we'll not turn this into a fight between U Vanessa & cinderboxes i think U two are right & tht two of U have his/her own point we all agree on both, tht we are unique if we are completely different from each other also we are unique by our heart & soul, bt see let's take a moment & see for all of us everythin' happenes in this world behind it a reason,, For example if I didn't know somethin' called emo in this world I didn't met any of U, wether we are unique or not, if we believe tht we have soul as 'vanessa' said we'll all be livin' happy, bt I still know tht for some even if they found there heart they can't fnd there life...
Guest Emo4Lyf Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 If one were to accept your opinion as correct then everything and everyone would be unique in their own right - as romantic and beautiful a picture that paints, it essentially means the word is pointless, meaningless and questions why it was ever even created. For the word 'unique' to actually have meaning it is simple to derive the fact that there must be the 'common' to subsequently have the 'unique' also. But in your argument everything is unique, but if everything were unique then everything would also be common in it's apparent uniqueness, again, devaluing the word. To put this into example. To have an 'upper class' of society, you must have a 'lower class'. The upper cannot exist without the lower and all would be in a form of undefined 'middle' class. Unique takes the place of upper and common takes that of lower. No matter how much you twist the meaning of upper class to make everyone seem special, important or somehow higher up in society, it does not change the fact that there MUST be people in the lower class for the upper to exist. This is the same with unique and common - for few to be unique, many must be common. If you wish to take the middle ground option then you would be arguing everyone is equally 'slightly different', which is a perfectly sound claim. You are basing your posts on opinion and romanticism, mine are firmly based on the fact that this word has a meaning and purpose - you cannot twist words and their meanings to boost your own ego, make you feel better or make the world seem more beautiful. You must simply accept the meaning of a word and if you don't like it, use a different one.
Panty Raid Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 o.o i already said i was just correcting your header and if i wanted to fight 'Cinder' i'd just do it.
Storm Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I'm not going to fight anybody. He has his opinion as I have mine. The world is a beautiful place Cinderboxes; we have things we can't explain and even the most unattractive thing has beauty. My art teacher told me to see the world as my own personal canvas to look at and study what was in it. To try to see through the first layer into the other
XxPocketSizedEmoVampirexX Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 um idk...just happened...ish
Amz Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm with Snow on all of this. This "emo" shit ? It's not unique. Walk into Warped Tour, go to a rave, look on sites, ect. They're going to have the same hairstyle as you, with the bangs in the face and the layers You have color in your hair ? Okay, a lot of people do that nowadays. I have not seen a complete unique person before that is different from everyone in every way. It's just how things are.
Guest Moon_Panda Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 so small differences don't actually make you different or unique, they just make you a part of a bigger/smaller style group.???
Amz Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 In a way, yes. I mean, there really isn't people that are unique anymore. Sure, in the place that you are, there might be only you that has purple hair, BUt in other places ? It's more common.
not the american average Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I did it because of how it made me feel about myself I love being dark and wild color hair and piercings and my bangs covering my eyes and they way people look at me when they hear whatever im listening to so mabey in the sence that "normal" society looks at us differently then i guess we are unique
emogirl18 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 i became Emo a few years ago i was tired of pretending to be someone that i wasnt i tried to hide who i was inside but i just couldnt get away from it i just got tired and decided to just be myself even if who i am isnt what everyone else thinks i should be even if i am a Cutter i dont believe that people should judge me because of that and i guess thats why i love it it gives you a sence that even if no-one likes who you are at least youre being yourself right why pretend and expect everyone to be happy for you and to be proud of you if you cant be proud of who you are then how can you expect others to be proud of you thats all i have to say i love being emo and i wouldnt change the way i am for anything
TheFallen Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Why did I become Emo? How do I answer this...? I didn't become it...my emotions like coming out together and my friends just called me Emo. I empower it. I enjoy it. I love being different. Why would we want to be the same? Twins don't even want to be alike, they want to stand out. Why do I love it? Because it's different...your different...I'm different...everyone is different...we are the people that just decided to stand together and kick some ass. We will have each others backs. We do have each others back. This is my answer.
XXemelyXX Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 It just happened and because we're unique which is better because its a better way to live life to the fullest.
