Would you rather be lied to or be hurt by the truth?

instead of a lie. if you know

whats going on around you and

who your true friends are.

instead of a dishonest lie.

It depends. Need to know basis. If I'm better off not knowing the truth, for example I'm dying from a carcrash and I want my friend to tell me I'll be ok, or I have to sacrifice myself and so someone Im in love with who doesnt love me pretends to love me to make me happy in my final moments. That kind of thing seems ok, a bit of a white lie.

 

But if it's "do I look fat/stupid/like a slut" or "are you having an affair" those kinds of things I don't like being lied to about. Pretty much honesty all the way really.

Truth must be told with me, anything that happens I need to know the truth. Any lie hurts more than getting told the truth. For example, if a certain person thought of me in such a terrible way; knowing the truth wouldn't make me want to care about them after that. Truth may hurt, but its for the best sometimes. :3

It's better to know the truth, yes bt if the truth hurts & it's pain is worst than the pain of being lied to so I think it's better to know lies than the hurmfull truth...

I often just get personal opinions... not lies, not truths.. just statements that aren't even based on real facts like my taste in furniture, how I brew my coffee or what not to do on a Saturday anymore... It doesn't have a devastating effect on me so I gather it's not the truth. Or a lie...I can settle..

Well in my opinion every lie is way worse than the truth, because even though the truth can be painful sometimes when you find out it was a lie that makes it so much worse :3

hurt by truth cuz it hurts me more whsn people lie to me and they make the lies so known or i find out the person lied to me right after

hurt by the truth...being lied to hurts more cuz u trusted that person and wen u find out that theyve been lying to you, the trust goes out the window and sometimes its hard to trust other ppl again in fear of being lied to again...

the trust hurts but at least the person is being honest wiv you
