Yes they most Certainly can but they require A LOT of work not something you can decide and say well im only going to work on this part of the relationship, you have to look after the whole thing.

But in the end one person will probably die of old age before the other....

Well the typical downfalls of a relationship is usually cheating, dishonesty and distance... But theres really alot more strain on a relationship then just that. I personally don't have any tolerance for lazyness, insecure whining, envy, materialism, total mama's boy... Theres just so many things...

A lot of relationships dies usually just because there's a lack of comunication.

Or because one person WISH the other one will change something about his behaviour etc...

Relationships could last. Mine has lasted almost 7 months and I love him more with each passing second <3
