EvilActivity Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Online dating strikes me as sad... Says that chick who picks up men at Tori Amos concerts, DnD gatherings and Renaissance fairs...... >.>'
.Dark. Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I have to agree with snow on this one. People can lie and "be anything" on the internet to lure someone in, etc. Could be some really bad person or someone only interested in you in a certain way (getting in your pants for a while kind of person who only uses others). There's a danger, yes, just like people in real life as well whom could easily lie as well, but it's usually more detectable in real life. As snow said, it's about making them prove what they are/aren't via cam. I totally sgree with you on this one. But I just gotta wonder how do people feel a physical connection with someone on the internet?
XxPocketSizedEmoVampirexX Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 maybe its hard for sum ppl to find others who have heaps in common wiv them...we cant just walk round randomly finding ppl we might hav a connection wiv...it takes tiime to find ppl, sumtime a long time. internet can just decrease the time a bit so u can find ppl easier n get to kno them quicker...no one lives forever n life is short

ChrissyCookiemonster Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I met someone online and we loved each other for like a month and just ended it because it wasnt working out. We didnt even live in the same state so yeah. I think its better in person but thats just me.
chemical_redemption Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I say that online dating is dumb. but what can i say i just got out of a relationship with a 33 year old that i thought was 16. just goes to show how scary online dating can be
Remix Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) Yeah, I’m gonna go with the realistic side here only because “-hugs- : )“ doesn’t really cut it for me as much as an actual physical hug would. Apart from that the world is full of liars, through a screen anything could take a turn for the worst and it would be out of my control because I would in fact be states and zip codes away from said person. I’d prefer to have that control and knowledge that the person I am dating is in fact who they say they are. Edited December 7, 2012 by Remix
ChrissyCookiemonster Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yeah good point. I guess you never know what scary people are out there. I think ill stick to personal dating instead.
